Instrument Assisted Facial Release

About Instrument Assisted Facial Release

What it is

  • A gentle-to-firm soft‑tissue technique using smooth, hand‑held tools to glide over muscles and fascia (connective tissue).

  • Our chiropractor uses the tool to detect and treat areas of tension, adhesions, or sensitivity.

How it helps

  • Temporarily reduces muscle tightness and tenderness.

  • Improves local blood flow and tissue gliding to ease stiffness and enhance range of motion.

  • Can “de‑sensitize” irritated areas so you can move more comfortably and train/rehab better.

Best for:

  • Tight calves/hamstrings, ITB/quad tension, hip flexors, glutes.

  • Neck/shoulder and forearm tightness from desk work or sport.

  • Post‑injury stiffness (after medical clearance), scar‑tissue mobility work, and overuse niggles.

Patient's note:

  • Expect firm, purposeful pressure; mild redness or temporary tenderness is common. Light marks (petechiae) may appear and fade within a few days.
