Instrument Assisted Facial Release

About Instrument Assisted Facial Release
What it is
A gentle-to-firm soft‑tissue technique using smooth, hand‑held tools to glide over muscles and fascia (connective tissue).
Our chiropractor uses the tool to detect and treat areas of tension, adhesions, or sensitivity.
How it helps
Temporarily reduces muscle tightness and tenderness.
Improves local blood flow and tissue gliding to ease stiffness and enhance range of motion.
Can “de‑sensitize” irritated areas so you can move more comfortably and train/rehab better.
Best for:
Tight calves/hamstrings, ITB/quad tension, hip flexors, glutes.
Neck/shoulder and forearm tightness from desk work or sport.
Post‑injury stiffness (after medical clearance), scar‑tissue mobility work, and overuse niggles.
Patient's note:
Expect firm, purposeful pressure; mild redness or temporary tenderness is common. Light marks (petechiae) may appear and fade within a few days.
